Katikati Library Archives

Katikati  was the only organised settlement out of Ulster in Ireland and there is a huge amount of information about the ancestors of today's residents stored and available for research thanks to one resident and her helpers over the years.  Ellen McCormack has invested hundreds of hours collecting information on the early settlers who made their homes in Katikati.  She now has an almost complete picture of the families that populate Katikati including many descendants up until the present day.  The information that Ellen has collected about buildings, people, places and events is a wonderful source of information for a wide range of people.
The archives are based at the Western Bay of Plenty District Council's Katikati Office.
