THE PAKEKE LIONS CLUB OF KATIKATI

This Club was established in 1983 “to take an active interest in Community affairs, to provide services or financial grants in support of the community and to provide friendship and fellowship within a club environment.”

The Club enjoys monthly dinner meetings, participates in regular social outings and functions and offers Community service through working bees and financial support.

Each year the Katikati Pakeke Lions Club contributes to organisations such as the Blind Foundation, Camp Quality, Starship Children’s Hospital, Waipuna Hospice, the Lloyd Morgan Trust and other groups and individuals in around Katikati.

On behalf of the Katikati Funfest Charitable Trust the Club manages the annual Katikati Avocado, Food & Wine Festival and in association with that Trust has, over the past five years, put a further $30,000 into organisations serving the Katikati Community.
