I would like to extend a warm welcome to you to Katikati College. This is a fine school and we have a proud history of providing the best possible education to the students of Katikati and the wider contributing areas from Athenree to Omokoroa, in the Western Bay of Plenty.
Our school has been extremely well led over the last three decades by former principals Brian Blackstock, (1981-1999) Peter Leggat, (2000-2010) Neil Harray (2011-2017) and Carolyn Pentecost (2017 to present). As a result, Katikati College has built a sound reputation as a school that has high academic success and is at the forefront of teaching and learning.
The key to this success is the outstanding leadership, teaching and support staff that provides the opportunities and motivation for student success to occur. Students are encouraged to become well-rounded citizens that participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to their community. People from outside the local community always comment on how positive and polite our students are; something we can be very proud of.
